Depending on your light exposure technique, you may not have exposed the image long enough. A minimum of 45 mins is? required per the instructions in a dim environment.

so i am using speedball? diazo emulsion and i exposed my screen for 30 mins and nothing. once i wash the emulsion out all of it is gone the screen clears out. so i am trying to figure out what is wrong.

That's a great question. It's difficult to judge the? amount of time to expose the emulsion. Some fluids will list the recommended time, but you'll usually just have to determine time by trial and error.

It's not always necessary to apply the emulsion in? darkness, as long as there is no strong, direct light hitting it. After it dries however, one must be more careful.

YOU ONLY HAVE TO EXPOSE YOUR EMULSION? FOR ABOUT 10 SECONDS. LONGER THAN THAT WILL DESTROY YOUR DESIGN.

I guess that would depend on the strength of the sun and the thickness of your emulsion. But doing it outside with the sun sounds like a bad idea, as you very little control... but I'm? no expert, so to be honest with you I don't know. You could give it a try though, and let us know how it went...
